Do you know what percentage of the population is left handed? It’s 15%. That’s all! Most people think it’s at least 25%. But, the left handed fact is, it’s only 15%.

Unfortunately, left handed people are 3 times more likely to become alcoholic! Two right handed people have only a 2% chance of having a left handed child. However, two left handed people have a 50% chance of having a left handed child.

Male cats are usually left pawed. (Females are right pawed.) High levels of testosterone present during pregnancy may contribute to left handedness. Lefties are better at processing multiple stimuli (which probably helps explain their skill with video games).
Older women are more likely to give birth to a left handed child.

• 68% use their right hand when handling scissors
• 74% use their right hand to wield a steak knife.
